A new law entered into force on April 6, 2007, limiting the number of passengers in a teen's car. The goal of the new law in Ohio is to reduce the number of teenagers, in trade leads to a crash. * 17 - and 18-year-olds are prohibited from driving 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. clock, unless they are accompanied by their parents or guardians (except for trips to and from school or work, with the documentation that of employers)
* Probationary license holders 16 and younger may not drive between midnight and 6 clock, unless they are accompanied by their parents or guardians (except for trips to and from school or work, with the documentation provided by employers)
* Temporary instruction permit holders 17 and younger may not drive between midnight and 6 clock, unless they are accompanied by their parents or guardians who are in possession of a valid license
* Passengers under 15 years must be approved restraint systems, such as a belt.
* If a driver 16 and younger, is a moving violation within the first six months after receiving their license, they are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the trip up to six months after the conviction or until the driver makes 17 . (daily-jeff.com/news/article/1816271)
Given these statistics, the parents must be vigilant, to protect their children. Always know where your teen is and what he or she does. With a GPS device in your teen's vehicle, you can always check to make sure that your teen is safe. This is not a violation of the privacy of your teen, it is your responsibility as parents. Ohio is doing its part, as a country to try to set the lives of teenagers. As parents, everything you can do to make your teen.
