Lately we have heard more and more about the vision and mission statements for businesses. I sometimes treat myself to Starbucks coffee. Their mission is proudly displayed for all to see. In this way you can know exactly what is their commitment and the degree of their involvement with their mission. And we find more and more companies following the example of Starbucks.
As a trainer, I find that people burn more from a lack of purpose than from a lack of energy. People often ask, "Why are we here? "" And, "" What are we trying to do? ""
A client of mine ran a large printing business. She asked me how to write a contract with the law of attraction. I asked her about the company that they owned and on which they confronted. She told me that four people on her team had a mission. They had inserted a few values in the Mission Statement, that they insisted that their employees follow.
After creating the job, they posted it anywhere in the office. One of the most important values in relation to the statement. They wanted their employees to their customers, suppliers and employees. However, one of the executives who helped write the message in the view through intimidation, he yelled to the staff during meetings, sometimes shouted at the customer, and was very rude to suppliers.
None of the employees believe in the mission statement. They reasoned that if the consideration actually part of the mission, this executive would not be allowed to behave in such a disrespectful manner.
Can you begin to understand what happened? This executive has been more and more despised. And as a result, the entire team more and more ignored and no harmony. Your mission statement does not serve its purpose, which is to unite the team was by common goals and values. A model must be used to work for them.
The entire team to walk the talk if they wanted to respect and harmony in society. If they do not, they would just the same. Not writing the mission would have been better than to write if they had no intention to follow suit. Otherwise, write a mission statement can do more harm than good.
I proposed to my client that if the entire team was willing to commit to the principles and standards they had written, they would be much more than just respect, they would not be able to imagine how many wonderful opportunities, and in situations that they would win. In applying the Law of Attraction principles you more of what you think and feel in every situation.
I suggested that she sit down and ask their managers some deeper issues, they gain respect and more success, more satisfied employees and repeat and referral business. Here are the questions I suggested they ask their team:
• What are your top priorities?
• What are you here for?
• Why is the team / department important?
• What makes us great?
• What makes us unique?
• What is our greatest contribution to the world / customer / company?
• What our customers really want from us?
• What do you like about our society?
• In what ways are your interests are not represented?
• Given the input, what do you think is our mission?
• How can we rank these missions?
• Which of these tasks is the highest priority?
• What would be our mission statement for you?
They sat down and a long list of what they did not want in their business. Then they have an even longer list of what they wanted in their companies, with their answers to the questions above. With that they have a new mission with The Law of Attraction to their work the kind of values that everyone would enjoy. She was excited about the possibilities for their companies and now understand how they were dressed, what they were. The creation of this new list of values that they wanted to her thoughts and opened their eyes.
Things are really rocking. Everyone is happy and it shows. How do I know? Sick time is around 26% and the company looks forward to a very successful year!
Do you walk your talk with your mission and vision? What are you attracting?
