With all the recent discussion on the law of attraction and success of the book, The Secret, many people wonder if these principles are contrary to the teachings of the Bible. This article will highlight why they are showing you what bible verses support the Law of Attraction, and encourage you change the way you think.
WHAT The Law of Attraction MEAN?
In the simplest terms, the law of attraction tells you what you think about most. So, if you dwell on positive things, you can experience even more positive things. If you dwell on negative things, you will experience more negative things. Let's see how these lines with what the Bible teaches.
Think positive thoughts
Finally, brethren, what the things are true, what things are, frankly, what matters is what things are pure, what things are beautiful, whatever things are of good report, if it is a virtue and if it is to praise, think on these things. Philipians 4:8
So, here we have the Bible instructs us to think about things that are positive. However, this particular verse does not say why. Let's see if we can find all the passages that give us a clue to why we should think about positive things.
THE IMPACT OF THOUGHT
So he holds in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7
The above verse from Proverbs shows that our thoughts, we will. How we think we are. If our thoughts so much influence on our lives, then we better be some attention to them. But as we know what our thoughts are? Probably happens on such a subconscious level that we are often not even aware of it. So how do we know when we think about good things?
What we think, as we SPEAK
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings, what is good and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings that which is evil: in the fullness of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:35
A true test of our predominant thoughts, is to hear, as we speak. Whatever your heart (your opinion), is out of your mouth. The writings have much to say about our tongues and the need to tame it.
SPEECH DIRECTS OUR LIVES
For we all stumble in many things. If someone does not stumble in word, he is the perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we have bits in horses' mouths, that they obey us, and we turn the entire body. Look also at ships, although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants . James 3:2-4
Again, this correspondence is the relationship between our words and the direction our lives take. You are in a way which can not be undone. We can not speak carelessly and think it will not have a profound effect on our lives. For what we speak, is what we think. And what we are talking about is the direction our life is.
For verily I say unto you, That to say, who to this mountain, Be thou removed, and you into the sea, and is no doubt in his heart, but are of the opinion that what he says will come to pass, he have what he says <. Mark 11:23
The above Scripture Clinching it all for me. It shows a clear relationship between what we say what we have in our hearts (our thoughts), and what it is in our lives. When we say positive things at the same time truly believe they will come to see - they will.
Lieb WE SOW SEEDS
Do not be disappointed, God is not mocked: for what a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For soweth, that he said to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he soweth, that the Spirit is the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not be weary in well doing: for the season because we reap, if we are not weak. Galatians 6:7-9
What we sow, we can expect to draw. This is true in the natural things as well. If we plant a watermelon seed, we expect a watermelon to grow, is not it? We do not expect a pumpkin to grow. Why should it be otherwise with our thoughts? If we sow the seeds of positive thoughts, we can expect positive things. If we sow negative thoughts, we should expect to attract negative things. But this means that our thoughts are seeds. Is the font support? Yes, it works:
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober and hope to the end for the grace that you are in the Revelation of Jesus Christ. I Peter 1:13
Of course, the loins are the place of creation - the source for seeds. So, if Peter is to promote the early church to "gird up the loins of the mind '," he told them to give their opinion - to remain sober and full of hope.
CONCLUSION
These lessons will certainly support what the law of attraction says, so there are not a conflict between the principles of the Law of Attraction and the principles of the Bible. What has happened in the past, these principles can and try to shape them into something for themselves, but as what God for their lives. These principles for believers and unbelievers alike, as it rains on the just and the unjust. The difference is that the believer's life should be to God and their ears should be, to hear his voice, to their ways. One, the faithful should be no conflict between what the Bible teaches and what the law of attraction teaches.
