The following is an exercise that I have learned from Abraham-Hicks. You refer to as the Placemat Exercise. But, as my task list on my computer or a notebook, I mentally call it the Universe" To Do List "and the name stuck with me.
If you've never heard of Abraham-Hicks, Esther Hicks is a medium that has long been regarded as a channel for a nonphysical group of beings known as Abraham. Although I know some of you may be afraid the word channel or medium, some of the inspiration with regard to the law of attraction is the enlightening I've always have, so I think it would be well worth your time to it out.
In this case, I believe the story that Esther Hicks was sitting in a restaurant one day with her husband talking about how overwhelmed they are about all the tasks they had to within the coming days. You receive a message from Abraham to discuss the placemat that sat before her, and draw a line in the middle of the paper and a line across the top, so that similar to the letter t. She was with me on the left side and on the universe the right side.
Then on the left side of the paper she was writing all the things that she was inspired to this day. Those who are ready and willing to take action immediately. The tasks of the view that legal and clear to her.
On the right side of the paper she was writing all of what they wanted the universe to ensure for them. Things that they are not exactly clear, felt any kind of resistance to be done, or items they have not even shown how to use yet available.
The point of this exercise is to 1. Get clear what it is you want and 2 Allowing and knowing that it will happen.
For example, a hypothetical Universe task list I would be for me would be:
ME:
1.Write at least 2 articles fun today.
2. Meditate for 20 minutes.
3. My yoga.
4. Lunch with my best friend
5. On some of the emails I have received
6. Update my website with a few new articles from other authors
All elements are tasks I feel good and inspired at your disposal. I'm happy and excited they are doing.
Now on the left, what I write, I would like to take care of Universe. Items I am not "in the mood for" or "ready to deal with yet" such as:
Universe:
1. Find me a simple and painless way to use the money to pay the car insurance next month
2. Send me inspiration to me on the information that I want in my new book
3. Find me a simple and painless way to get out of a social obligation, I prefer not to (in your case, specifically to what the commitment is)
4. Find the right person with the ability to error on my computer
5. Find me a simple solution to get out of the garage to clean
It does not matter how many things you give the Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) to do. Just know that you are not alone here. You ask for what you get.
Just as you write what you want to Universe, act and feel as though it no doubt, will be taken care of. Do you feel as if you just hand the list to the best manager you have ever met, and that you are so sure that these things that you do not have to give them a second thought.
You will be thrilled and amazed at how this works!
For example, we go back to the example of the list, I would worry about Universe.
1. The money for car insurance. Universe, how would deal with that? Maybe my mother wins money in Atlantic City, and she decides, some with me, and I am also an unexpected check in the mail. Between the two of them - more than the premium.
2. The inspiration for my new eBook. Universe calls me to make an unplanned stop at the library, where I have a new book that just in and I think it is exactly the issue I feel inspired to write.
3. The commitment, which I do not want to participate. The people I was with you, call me and tell me, something else came and apologize, because we have to do another time. No hurt feelings on both sides.
4. My computer problem. I find the man who was my yoga class also fixes computers running on the side and charges less than half what a professional would. I find this by simply chatting with the person next to me in my fun task of taking the yoga class in the first place.
5. My garage is cleaned. My niece has just completed the sale on eBay and offers clean my garage where they can sell and keep the profit on the item I know longer want to keep.
I can not tell you the voltage you get chills, you can see how Universe working this kind of "miracle" without any effort on your part.
Now there is one last step to this exercise. Since Universe is about the economy and leads all of these tasks for you, it is important that you recognize, be grateful for them and encourage.
Anytime universe easily handles one of my tasks, and I clapped my hands together happily (and yes, there were many times I literally clapped my hands together cheerfully) I always have a follow-up "Thank You Universe and more that please! ""
It helps you to take note, "which" is responsible for helping you, and strengthens the belief that you really can rely on it for the future. Plus, when you say "more, that you" "and you know that it was really from, you get more excited about the completion of the next job and watch with amazement to see how Universe will be made.
I will be honest, while I write this list almost every day, I now find myself doing it often mentally. Well, if something comes that I do not want to do, I will immediately throw it in Universe at the train. For example, if the boss says I have too late tonight I give an immediate mental "" Yuck! Universe I would use this. I will be happy to go home on time tonight. "" Then I forget and watch as the universe has its order and reminds the boss that his child in a recital tonight and we can not all of the end.
But if you only with this exercise, I would definitely not the physical list. It will provide you with a great sense of relief, as you write the hard things you want, "" your manager ", so you can concentrate on the things that inspired you to do today.
