morale is one of the most important characteristic of humans. Morality is, as even the codes of conduct for mankind. Animals with the exception of any moral human being is because they are all of their instincts. The greatest achievements of human race were from the instinct and a few principles, the primacy of the common good of humanity and not the individual benefits for the individual. These principles are often morality.
Morality is often defined as a person's ability to distinguish between good and evil or right and wrong. A moral man follows the path of goodness and righteousness. The system for determining right and wrong may be determined by some tasks, such as churches, an organization of a society, a government or by the individual themselves. So logically the moral codes must for any society, religion, or even individually. So many people consider morality as individualistic, based on time and society. It is often argued that there is no universally accepted principles of morality.
Recently on a forum by evangelical pastor Rick Warren, Barack Obama cited his youthful experimentation with drugs and John McCain noted his failed first marriage as their greatest moral failings. Obama also said one of the greatest moral defects, the treatment of the poor. McCain said the nation to the greatest moral shortcoming is the lack of "devote ourselves to causes greater than our self-interest. "
The moral failures of the individual and the nation, as the presidential candidate of the world's most powerful and modern nation are not local, but really universal. No society can such acts as morally.
So there may be some differences in the body of morality, which is often encoded into the law books, but the essence of the soul or morals in all societies and individual.
Morality and Legality
Often confused with moral legitimacy. They believe that compliance with the laws of the society is sufficient to the moral. This may not always be the case. For example, if a society divorce or polygamy, extramarital affairs or legal, it is perfectly legal to leave a spouse or relationships with multiple partners. But the same can not be claimed that McCain accepted as a moral failure of his marriage as his greatest moral not.
In the same way, even if the national legislation allows the accumulation of private wealth without restriction, but can it really a sin to great wealth, though many people remain poor. It may be perfectly legal to protect the interests of self-government by the following legal channels, not necessarily in the interest of the country, nor the same action is expected by society as immoral, if the benefit to humans is not from the society.
So morality and law are often interrelated. In each era, the people against the moral laws on the ground and change society. Christian principles challenged many of the Old Testament as "eye for an eye policy" that cost his life. The action of the Christ was illegal, there are of State and government in entirely legal hang him. But in reality it was Christ who was morally right in saying that the universal principle of love and the state was morally wrong to state enforcement.
All great people in history against the laws of the country for reasons of higher moral principles. These moral principles are not different, but in all societies at all times. They were discovered thousands of years back, and they will continue to guide the humanity on the right track at all times to come. What are these eternal moral principles?

Hinduism is one of the rarest of religions that are not on a "book" or "writing", but on Dharma. While there are numerous books that form the basis of Hinduism, but in reality, Hinduism is nothing but the observance of the universal principles of morality. A devout Hindu may disregard any correspondence, if this is contrary to the Dharma.
The advantage that a society based on dharma, the unwritten principles of morality is that one who follows dharma is religious in every religion. As a devout Hindu Gandhi was more Christian than the Christian majority, as determined by the Dharma, which is always in line with what the Lord Jesus Christ. He said
"" I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. "
So Gandhi was not Christian by birth but by deeds, when he came to the eternal principles of Dharma. All spiritual people, in fact, after the life of Dharma, even if they do not know what Dharma is. What are these principles of Dharma.
10 principles of universal morality
Dharma is to be understood intuitively by listening to the voice of conscious. It is difficult to reproduce these principles into words. No Hindu scripture defines these universal principles except the Patanjali's Yogashastra (The Book of Yoga). Yoga defines 10 principles called Yam (do) and niyam (not), providing an overview of these moral principles. These ten principles are often referred to as the Ten Commandments of Hinduism. Hinduism also Sanatan (Eternal) religion of the view that these 10 principles as universal. Yoga means the union of self with the Supreme is now generally accepted by the people to live a healthy and happy life of people of all religions. It is also obvious that the prayer to God is not a specific one of the principles of yoga if it is not prohibited. Most of these principles are also in other religions in various forms.
Let morality laws against Man
Dharma is the supreme law of the universe. It was different in religion, but it is understood only by intuition and experience. For example, killing of animals are found in many religions and even as an essential part of religion. But the Dharma never allow the non-violence as the first principles of universal morality. The preaching of Jesus, the other cheek is the best example of the observance of this principle in Christianity.
Accumulation of wealth, and against the principles of morality, which as a legal and proper in most societies. But we know from experience that the accumulation of wealth creates more contempt and hatred in others, because they are contrary to the Dharma. It is for this reason that the disadvantaged people punished over and over again, the wealth accumulator and bring equality and justice in society.
A careful study of these ten universal principles of morality clearly that you lead a happy life by following these principles. If one lives on these principles, he can immediately joy sometime, but he suffers disproportionately pain in the later part of his life. Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence declares the universality of these moral principles are of Thomas Jefferson
I never did, or countenanced, in public life, a single act in accordance with the strictest good faith, with never believed it was a code of morality for a public and another for a private man ""
