Can a CDL truck driver legally with a rifle in the truck? This is a very hot topic! In my last article, "" Truck Driver CDL Carrying Guns, "" a lot of controversy, because nothing could be found throughout federal law show that it was illegal to carry. I have pointed out that there is no federal law that it is illegal, only city, county and state laws which make it illegal to do so, as well as measures that the engine is. Sec. 926A. Interstate transportation of firearms

Notwithstanding any other provision of a law or rule or regulation of any State or political subdivisions, any person who is not otherwise prohibited, this chapter from transporting, shipping or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for lawful purpose from any place, in which he legitimately own and that these weapons at any other place where he lawfully owns and, if these weapons, while the transportation of the weapon is unloaded, and neither the gun nor ammunition is being transported, or is easily accessible directly from the interior of the vehicle: Provided that in case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver section of the weapon or ammunition is in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console.

OK ... now we have the federal law on this question, what does it mean? I would say that this to 50 lawyers, and all 50 interprets it differently!
